Columbus, Indiana Airpark
A former Air Force Base, Columbus Municipal Airport is a growing regional airport that serves Fortune 500 companies and many professional businesses in Columbus, Indiana. The assignment for MyersCroxton Group was to create an informational and inspirational signage program for the airpark that identifies the surrounding commercial area and creates a welcoming atmosphere for domestic and international visitors to the airport. We were inspired by the simplicity and angularity of an airfoil, a shape that expresses the speed and beauty of flight. An essential direction for continuity was for us to weave the Columbus Community Branding graphic elements into the finished designs. The resulting signage elements include both structural sign fabrications and custom digital color vinyl banners.
